Causes Of Bad Vaginal Odour And Milkish Discharge

The vagina is a fibro-muscular canal. It has a depth of about 7.5 to 10cm, a roof and a floor. Unlike most organs of the body, the vagina is a skin fold. The outer part of the vagina where hair grows is called the Labium majora. The Labium minora is the thin skin fold in the inner part of the vagina.

The vagina usually maintains some degree of wetness but not enough to stain the pant of any lady. That is why before sexual intercourse, the vagina has to become wet before penetration. As an organ, the vagina has no gland from where secretion occurs rather the secretion that wets the vagina during sexual arousal comes from the glands that are located in the cervix (mouth of the womb)

In pregnancy and during ovulation, the vagina is also found wet owing to secretions from the cervix and other glands.

Apart from these conditions, that is pregnancy, ovulation periods and during sexual arousal, the vagina is relatively dry. Thus if despite these conditions, the vagina of a woman continues to pour out discharge, that usually stains the pants of such a woman or forces her to wear pad so as to prevent frequent staining of her panties, such a woman needs the attention of her doctor.
